Virino Hypothesis.
Prion proteins are believed to be viruses.Its sounds silly,No but there are some facts which supports this hypothesis,

But there is one limitation of this theory is that the Prion proteins can't induce immune response.
Prions cant evoke immune response.But HERV also shows the same property.May be HERV play importnat role in prion diseaes.In other words virino hypothesis can acceptable.
